Q. Where did the name “ReValence Networks Ltd.” come from?
A. It fell out of the sky. Okay, not really. Do you have any idea how hard it is to come up with a unique name that matches an available domain name? Trust us; it’s not all that easy. It took several weeks and hundreds of attempts before we found a name that sounded pretty good and didn’t have an obvious negative connotation.  It's kind of science-y, too. A bonus, for sure.

Q. How do you pronounce it?
A. ruh-VAY-lentz or, if you prefer, ree-VAY-lentz.  (Just not RELL-uh-vence.)

Q. What does it mean?
A. Nothing. Oh, wait! It means “Exceed expectations of availability, communications, response and future needs.”

Q. Why do you spell it that way...with the capital "V" in the middle?
A. To be different and stand out. Also to avert the obvious mixup with the word ‘relevant.’ Of course, we are relevant! We are super-relevant!

Q. What is a “Bandwidth Bonus’?
A. If your Helium site has less than 10 megabytes of bandwidth in any month, we will give you a $10 credit. We will also work with you to help increase your web site’s usage so we won't have to give you the credit anymore.

Q. Why do you name your hosting plans after some of the inert gases on the Periodic table?
A. We thought we'd try tying in with the science motif.  I think they also call them the "noble gases" which sounds a lot better than "inert," don't you agree?

Q. Why and when was ReValence founded?
A. ReValence Networks Ltd. was formed early in 2006 to provide focused and professional support for the online operations of three different companies. This immediately reduced duplication of staff and other resources and allowed us to invest in a single modern network infrastructure. In early 2007, we began to take on new business opportunities.

We currently operate Microsoft, Apple and open source servers. Typical applications include web hosting, database hosting, e-mail and groupware services, Citrix and Microsoft remote multi-user application services. Custom applications include a survey management server, portals and extranets.
